Mero Networth ("we," "our," "the app") is a personal finance tracker for cash, bank accounts, credit cards, loans, share portfolios, property, and remittances, built for people who want a plain-language view of their net worth. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how it's handled.

What kind of app this is

Mero Networth is a manual-entry tracker. It does not connect to your bank, does not use your bank login credentials, and does not automatically pull your balances or transactions from any financial institution. Every account, balance, and transaction you see in the app is something you typed in yourself. We never see or store your online banking username, password, or full card number.

Information we collect

• Account credentials: your email address and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never stored or visible to us in plain text.
• Profile information you choose to add: an optional display name, shown in the app and on reports you download.
• Financial information you enter: account names and types (bank, cash, wallet, card, loan, portfolio, property, bill/subscription), balances, transactions, categories, notes, currencies, and — only if you choose to type it in — the last 4 digits of a card for your own identification. We do not ask for or store full card numbers, CVVs, or banking passwords.
• Preferences: display language, calendar system (AD/BS), your chosen base currency, and any net worth goal you set.
• Basic technical data: standard web request logs (such as IP address and browser type) collected by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and abuse prevention, not for tracking or advertising.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
• We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
• We do not link to or read data from your actual bank accounts.
• We do not share your financial data with other users — every account is private to you, enforced at the database level (row-level security), not just in the app's interface.

How we use your information

• To create and secure your account, and let you sign in from any device.
• To save and sync the financial data you enter, so it's there whenever you sign in.
• To send account-related emails: signup confirmation, password reset, and (if you enable them in the future) due-date reminders.
• To prevent spam and abuse on account creation (we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving bot-check, on the signup form).

Who else handles this data

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the app. They process data only to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication (sign-in, password hashing, session tokens).
• Resend — delivers account emails (signup confirmation, password reset) on our behalf.
• Cloudflare — hosts the website, serves it over HTTPS, and runs the Turnstile bot-check on signup.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete all of your accounts and transactions yourself at any time from within the app ("Delete all my accounts and transactions"). If you'd like your account and all associated data fully removed, email us and we'll process the request.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) between your device and our servers. Access to your financial records is restricted to your own signed-in account through database-level access rules, not just app-level checks.

Children

Mero Networth is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18.

International users

Wherever you're using the app from, our infrastructure providers may process and store your data in a different country than the one you're in.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
